

Ronald B. Tomasik Sr., Retired CPD - FTO, age 80, of Chicago, passed away on February 6, 2026. Born February 4, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to Casey and Betty Tomasik, Ron served as a Field Training Officer with the Chicago Police Department. He was also a long-time Boy Scout Troop Leader for FHM Troop 465. Ron enjoyed swimming and loved adventures. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sharon (nee Lantvit); his son, Ronald Jr. (Suzanne) Tomasik; daughter, Dawn (Nick) D’Amato; grandchildren, Dylan, Nathan, Danica, and Toni; brother, Edward Tomasik (Retired CPD) and wife Terri; sister Bernadette (Ralph) Bailey; as well as many who considered him an uncle, godfather, and adoptive dad.
Visitation for Ron will be on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Morning Visitation on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M., with Prayer Service starting at 9:30 A.M., at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M., at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, 6612 West 54th Street, Chicago, IL 60638.
