Violet Grace Milbratz (née Hardtke) passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024 at the age of 95 years old. She was born on September 27, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Milbratz.
She graduated from Lucy Flower High School and worked for Union Liquor.
Violet loved to sew, play a little poker and loved bowling. She was on many leagues throughout the years. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween. She was a pretty good bags player, especially in her later years. She was a wonderful ice skater, great volleyball player and all-around athlete.
Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was definitely one of her favorite pastimes besides watching the Cubs. She was and always will be the number one Cubs fan. No matter where she was, she was always connected to the Cubs through her transistor radio. Ron Santo was her favorite player.
Lovingly remembered by her son Keith (Lee Ann) Milbratz, her son Richard (JoAnn) Milbratz, her daughter Belinda Milbratz (Daniel), her grandchildren: Rich (Alicia) Milbratz, Jacqueline (Adrian) Aldrich, Nicholas (Sarah) Milbratz, Georgie Bierwirth (Wesley), Brett Milbratz and great-grandchildren Brendan Balling (Milbratz), Caden Aldrich, Addison Aldrich, Jackson Milbratz, Eli Milbratz, Richie Milbratz III and Lily Milbratz.
Visitation for Violet will be on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 4:00 pm. to 8:00 pm., at Ridge Funeral Home at 6620 W. Archer Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60638.
