Carmen Estrada

Carmen Estrada, 88 years old, of Chula Vista, California, passed away on May 9, 2016. She was born in San Jose de Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico, on February 9, 1928, the sixth child of Juan and Maria Garcia.

She married Richard M. Estrada Sr. on July 15, 1950. They were blessed with 39 years of marriage and 4 children. Carmen had a passion for spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and her various pet cats.

Carmen was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1989 and her daughter Lydia Estrada in 2004. She is survived by her daughter Christine Bravo, and two sons, Richard Estrada Jr. and Robert Estrada Sr. Her legacy includes 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A visitation and celebration of life service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, California 91910 on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. led by Deacon Lane Litke. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1120 Cuyamaca Avenue, Chula Vista, California 91911. A funeral procession will follow to Mount Hope Cemetery.
