Eduardo Martinez Garcia

Eduardo Martinez Garcia, "Lalo" age 81, of Chula Vista/Tijuana, California passed away on Friday August 2, 2019. Eduardo was born October 13, 1937 in Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Antonio and Amalia Martinez.

Lalo made it to the end of 3rd grade before he needed to start working to help out his family. He grew into a hard working and responsible young man. On May 3, 1960 he married Maria de Jesus Tostado. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage.

Lalo had a long standing 30 year career in Landscaping. When not working he enjoyed spending time with his family of eight children, 29 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He also was a member of a prayer group known as the "Missioneros de San Diego" . He also enjoyed visiting the local casinos.

Lalo is survived by his spouse; Maria de Jesus, his children; Eduardo Martinez Jr., Amalia Silva, Enrique Martinez, Araceli Martinez, Esteban Martinez, Ezequiel Martinez, Jose Antonio Martinez and Ruth Martinez. In addition, he has 29 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren on the way to carry on his legacy. Also, Lalo has eight surviving brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 4 PM to 11 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 9 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in National City. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, CA.
