Edward Charles Ashbaugh

Edward Charles Ashbaugh, age 85 passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 7, 1938. Edward graduated from Irwin High school on 1956 and received a Tech Train degree from Pittsburgh Tech.

Edward met and fell in love with Mary Ann Reck and they got married on October 24, 1959. Edward had a very long career for the Sperry Marine. When he finally retired he departed as a Lead Electrical Technician.

Prior to working with Sperry Marine he join the United State Air Force and after time serve with the Air Force he went to the United States Coast Guard Reserved and served for 28 years and retired as a Master Chief. He loved Classic cars, reading and being with Mary Ann.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann.

A rosary for Edward will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1120 Cuyamaca Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91911. A mass of a christian burial will occur Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Pius X Catholic Church, 1120 Cuyamaca Ave., Chula Vista, CA 91911. A military honors will occur Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Dr, Chula Vista, CA 92102.
