Ellen Carol Lunsford was born to William Silas Ervin and Blodwen Mae Klaesing on November 25, 1919. She graduated from San Diego High School and married Denver “Dick” Lunsford on March 1, 1939. During World War II, Ellen worked for Ryan Aeronautical, and after the war, she and Dick ran a hotel in Texas before returning to San Diego. A devoted wife, faithful friend, and loving aunt, Ellen loved people and often displayed her sense of humor and positive attitude with a tinkling giggle. She also blessed many with her handmade crafts and cards and enjoyed gardening. Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Dick, brother Bill, sister Marjorie, and parents. Ellen passed away on February 24, 2017.
