My name  is Tina Hicks, and I was Elvia's neighbor and friend. Wow, as I got up to  speak, and looked out into the audience, I saw how many family and relatives were in attendance I was reminded how Elvia had touched so many lives. She had spoken about many of you to me. She was always proud of her family and shared nothing but kind words about her family. Elvia made me and my son feel like family too! She never forgot our birthdays and bought us both our favorite cakes(German chocolate & Cheesecake). I loved how feisty Eliva was. She was alot more Hotter and Spicer than her salsa.

My mom was born in El Paso, Texas on February 09, 1935 to Joaquin and Guadalupe Padilla. She passed away on May 14, 2023 at the age of 88 in her home in San Jacinto, CA. She passed peacefully with family at her bedside.

In high school she was a majorette with the varsity band, tap danced and played the saxophone. She was a trauma nurse for 15 years. She owned her own business and was a great entrepreneur. She loved cooking, baking, singing and dancing. She designed and made her own dresses for special occasions. She designed and made her own prom dress. She loved mariachi and old school music.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed babysitting her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a true friend and would help in any way that she could.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her sons Manuel Munoz Jr., Ricardo Munoz, Ruben Jesus Munoz (Stephanie Benavente) and her daughter Aurora Munoz.

Her grandchildren; Teri Lynn Munoz, Toni Lea Munoz (James Cowles), Ricardo Jesus Munoz (Hortencia Rios), Christina Thomas (Charles Thomas), Anthony James Munoz, Manuel Jesus Munoz, Ruben Junior Sablan, Alex Sablan Munoz, Guadalupe Meza Walker (David Walker), Delia Mejia and Rafael Meza Jr. (Rachel Ibarra).

Her great-grandchildren; Steven Michael Hernandez III, Jonathon Cesar Hernandez, Alexis Dominique Hernandez, Anthony Steven Munoz, Darlene Munoz, Savanna Lynn Guzman, Ricardo Munoz Jr., Mya Chloe Munoz, Chanelle Neveah Thomas, Isabella Grace Thomas, Charles Brown Thomas Jr., Elijah Alexander Thomas, Rheanna Lynn Kusterbeck, Mikayla Sade Kusterbeck, Natalie De La Vega, Anthony De La Vega, Isabel De La Vega, Aneeza De La Vega, Gisselle Mejia, Rigoberto Mejia Jr., Elisa Ledesma, Isaiah Anthony Meza, and Sophia Aliyah Meza.

Her great-great-grandchildren; Ruben Aaron Camacho and Angel Garcia De La Vega.

I remember when I used to visit you almost everyday when I was in high school and i’d come to you filled with so much joy telling you about my day and wondering how you’ve been since the last time I seen you. I remember sometimes I used to be sad and you’d always reassure me that everything’s going to be okay and how strong I am. how you always prayed for me and our family. I will hold the words of wisdom and comfort you’ve given me throughout the years close to my heart, always. I love you with all of my heart grandma.
