Florence was a very good friend to me.  She helped me through one of the worst times in my life.  She was kind, loving and never judgmental.  
We shared so many fun memories such as beach parties at shelter island, St Patrick's Day dinners, visits to the zoo, work relationships.  I loved both her and her family and am saddened of their deaths.  
They will join Lloyd, for all eternity now and I know for a fact that that is where Florence will be the most happy.  She has missed him dearly.  
RIP Florence, I will miss you

When I was a young man attending San Diego State University, my Aunt Florence was always there to support me. Through her kindness, generosity, compassion and a positive attitude, I grew to understand the human characteristics she possessed were my most important lessons in life. She was always my second mother. Rest in Peace.  Love, Your nephew, John Joseph Masterson Jr.

Many years ago I had a conversation with my Aunt Florence about Religion. I confided to her that at times it was difficult to be a good Catholic. She looked me right in the eye and said "Not for me".  We both laughed. The truth is she was a very good Catholic. Moreover, she was a decent individual who displayed  kindness and compassion to all fellow human beings. Rest in Peace.  Love, Your nephew and God son, Timothy R. Masterson 

Aunt Florence was like a second mother to me and will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.  I have so many fond memories with Aunt Florence, especially during my time in San Diego.  I moved to California in 1979, and she accepted me with open arms.  Aunt Florence would always invite me to social gatherings including picnics for the holidays,  birthday celebrations, bonfires on the beach where we always ate KFC, playing cards, and eating out on Fridays at local restaurants with friends.  During Christmas, we would attend parties and would play the White Elephant game.  It was always special when we would spend Christmas at her house.  My children enjoyed opening gifts from under her tree; she was like a second grandmother to them.  On many occasions, she and Uncle Lloyd would babysit our kids, and they loved spending time with them.  During my last pregnancy, she gave me the most wonderful baby shower. I always felt so loved and appreciated by Aunt Florence. She would invite me to the commissary as she shopped, and we would always have great conversations. I moved from California in 1992 and about 8 years later, I went back to visit Aunt Florence and her daughter, Sandy.  I stayed with them in Sandy's two bedroom condo, and Aunt Florence and I stayed together in the second bedroom. That night, Aunt Florence and I acted like two teenagers and stayed up late laughing endlessly; we had such a special bond.  She was such an amazing example of a loving, caring, and kind person and will never be forgotten. 

I have very vidid memories growing up in Cleveland and the wonderful friends that the Masterson family were to me. This included all of Jim and Cathy’s kids (Jim, Tom, Dan and Kim...and their aunts and uncles.... (Jack, Florence, Mary and Frank). I moved to San Diego in 1969 and remember how loving and welcoming “Aunt Florence and Uncle Lloyd” were...every one was just like family to me. The Fall Family will be truly missed...RIP.

Florence was my Fathers youngest sister. She and my mother were best friends. When my Dad came home from  the war Aunt Florence introduced them. The rest, as they say, is history.

During the 1950s the Fall family moved all over the country because of Lloyd’s Navy career. Aunt Florence and Sandy would visit Cleveland often when Uncle Lloyd was out to sea. It was always fun to see them. 

Lloyd retired in 1959 and they settled in San Diego. The visits were less frequent but certainly special. Those were the days.

May Aunt Florence Rest In Peace. She will always have a soft spot in my heart.






I always remember my aunt coming to visit us. We would all go over my grandma's house to see her. She would always give me a kiss and a hug. She was the sweetest person you would ever want to meet. She will be missed!!!!!!!

Aunt Florence:    My first recollection of Aunt Florence is my father telling us that we had an Aunt that lived far away. He would talk to her on the phone and so would my mom. It was always a happy feeling. Aunt Florence lived in California with her husband Lloyd and a daughter named Sandy. When they came to visit my dad and his brother Jim would put a carpet remnant , that was red down the outside stairs of Grandma Masterson's house. They would say " we put the red carpet out for you Florence" now I know what that means. After a few years John came along. They would all visit and we loved it.  I guess the best memory was when our parents decided to take all 6 kids in the green panel station wagon to San Diego.  Boy, they were brave. After 3 1/2 days we arrived!! Uncle Lloyd had tents set up in the backyard which the boys did not like. John came in the tent and jumped on everyone. It was Fun!! We did all of the touristy things and had picnics on the beach with Aunt Florence and her family. We will cherish those memories.       Now, Aunt Florence is with Uncle Lloyd, Sandy and John!!
