With deep love and sorrow, we say goodbye to Ivona “Vonnie” Yvonne Yandall, who passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on April 29, 1973, in Aua, American Samoa, Vonnie was the cherished oldest daughter of the late Robert Jimmy Yandall and Mareta Favalu Laulu Yandall, as well as the beloved sister of Nick Yandall, who preceded her in death. Vonnie is now reunited with her parents and her brother, Nick, in the eternal peace of heaven.
Vonnie’s life was a testament to love, strength, and resilience. As the oldest daughter, she was the heart and soul of her family—a protector, guide, and beacon of love for all those she held dear. She embraced the role of mother with grace and devotion, pouring all her love into her six children: Eva Rene Smith, Samoana Italia Breeze, Anthony James Yandall-Breeze, Maleka Telesia Breeze, Ruta Taimane Yandall, and Sia Akenese Yandall, who will carry her legacy forward.
She was also a proud grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren: Koa Smith, Evoni Hardy, Keanu Jackson, Aulelei Yandall, Kamara Smith, Maddox Hardy, and Malie Yandall-Breeze, who brought joy and light to her life.
She is survived by her loving siblings: Ruta Hurt, Sia Yandall, and Alan Yandall, along with her nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom she adored. Vonnie’s love was a gift that reached far and wide—she embraced everyone who entered her life with kindness, compassion, and a deep, unwavering sense of loyalty.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Vonnie’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will be carried in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the warmth of every embrace, and in the stories of love she shared. Her legacy will never fade, for it is written in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Rest in peace, Vonnie.
You are deeply loved, forever remembered, and always in our hearts.
