

Leonardo Acosta, 86, of Chula Vista CA, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on November 6, 1938 in Cihuatlan, Jalisco, Mexico. He was a hard worker since he was a young boy. He worked in the movie industry, hospitality, and interior design, where he built his own custom-made furniture company. He enjoyed being an entrepreneur the most, as he was a very independent man. He belonged to the Rotary club for many years and was the President of the San Ysidro Chapter 1989-1990. He enjoyed spending time with his friends from the Rotary International Club and being part of their events. He always tried to help those around him as much as he could. He loved his family even when he struggled to show it; he always wanted the best for everyone. He loved to dance, enjoyed listening to music, and eating homemade food by his wife.
He was the child of Maria Trinidad Acosta. He is survived by his son Marcos Acosta and wife Genna Acosta, daughter Cinthia Vazquez, daughter Mara Hundrieser and husband John Hundrieser, daughter Lizza Acosta Arellano and husband Polo Arellano. He had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Blanca Acosta, who passed on February 28, 2023. Mass will be held on September 6th, TBA. Following there will be a celebration of life at his residence with his family and friends.
