My brother Mauro and I attended the celebration of life for Louie at Barrio Station.  It was a profound experience listening to the eulogies presented by Henry and bros, nephews and the extended family.  Louie lived a tough but very rich life as indicated by the many who attended.  Louie will come to mind for many years to come!

My condolences to Louies wife Linda and her family he has gone to the lord and does not have to suffer anymore. I lived across the alley from the Gonzalez family and next door to Bobby Morales. Louie and I were born in the same year and was very close to Louie, B.G. Henry and Raymond Neder. I was a Draftsman at Convair and was laid off in 1959 and my wife was pregnate with our first child. The Gonzalez family took me in and gave me a job as a Carpenter's Helper. B.G. and Henry use to call me "Saint Bernard" because I used to drink so much water. I never forgot what they did for me when I needed it most. I have many fond memories growing up with Louie, B.G. Henry, Ray Neder and Bobby Morales. I moved away in 1963 and went to work at Douglas Astronautics in Huntington Beach; I kept in touch with family and friends in San Diego and attended several Bario Station Fund Raisers. I came down with Bobby Morales to Louie's 60th birthday party held at Chuey's it was great seeing Louie and all our old friends. I will miss Louie and will never forget the Gonzalez family especially B.G. and Henry.

Louie was a great husband, father, grandfather, family-man, and friend; always smiling, and offering his encouraging words and wisdom.  I will never forget that genuine smile and those encouraging words.  He will always be fondly remembered by me and everyone who had the pleasure to know him.

To the Gonzales Family, may our Heavenly Father give you peace knowing Deacon Gonzales is resting in His loving arms.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.  He was always there for my dad "Frank" when he was sick in the hospital.  Uncle Louie helped my dad accept the Lord.  He was a handsome Gonzalez man just like "Pop" my grandfather his older brother Art.  You will be forever in our hearts Uncle Louie.

I give my condolences to Gail, Louie and the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your dad left us with wonderful memories and we are going to miss him . May God bless you.

Thank you Louie for being the "Father" figure that I never had, and for taking care of my mom for all these years. You have provide my brothers, sisters and I more support and love than we could ever pay back in our life time. I love you and will miss you, I'll see you in Heaven.
