

Mary Doris Crusilla, passed away on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at home in Jamul California surrounded by family, at the age of 93. Mary was born on October 4, 1921, in New York Mills, New York, to Alice Bilodeau and Marcel LaManque. She was the eleventh child of twelve. She is survived by five children, Eileen Casey, Mary O’Gorman, Kathleen Maloney, Kevin and Kurt Crusilla; 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Charles and son Timothy Patrick Crusilla.
Mary enjoyed going to New York Mills High School in New York Mills, NY. She often spoke of her friends and family who also attended her school or lived in the same town. She loved playing sports in her youth and later enjoyed going to sporting events, or just watching them on television with her family and friends.
During WWII Mary joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (W.A.A.C.)/ Women’s Army Corp. One of her duties was to plot locations of U.S. aircraft on a large central map as they were radioed in. Soon, she met and married a navy man, Charles. They raised 6 children together. In that time Mary stayed active in her Catholic faith, children’s activities and diligent in collecting donations for the American Heart Assoc., the old fashion way, door to door. At the age of 92 she participated in a Breast cancer 5k walk with her granddaughter, Tiffany.
Bonita is the community she has called home for the past 40 years. Her dearest friends in her Tripoli group, the regulars who frequent the local McDonalds, neighbors and her family will always miss her giant smile, unmatched kind heart and generosity. Truly, Mary Doris was an angel amongst us.
