Nickie’s support of her husband and children Les, Dallas, Susie, and Steve took her to different parts of the world, some were Johnston Island, the Philippines and Japan.
She gained her work experience starting as a teenager in the pineapple fields of Hawaii. She continued her work experience as an army secretary, preschool teacher, elementary school secretary, and administrative secretary with the Veterans Medical Center.
Everyone who knew Nickie knew her to be a strong, independent woman, and that her greatest accomplishment was rising strong, independent and determined children, through her loving and firm example.
Her grand and great grandchildren adored their beloved “Popo”. She has left all of her family a legacy that can best be described as always caring, always giving, always loved.
Thanks Mom, we love you.
