Natalia M. Ceseña

Natalia Martinez Ceseña, passed away peacefully with her loving children Martha, Rodolfo and Gabriel at her bedside at 12:40 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017. She was also surrounded by the love and care of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Natalia was born on September 21, 1926 in Porterville, CA. She was 90 years old. Her husband Jose Carlos Ceseña Bañagas precedes her in death as well as her parents Consuelo Martinez Morales and Roberto Davalos; brothers Rodolfo Davalos and Carlos Davalos; beloved daughter Consuelo Maria Ceseña Alcalá; and babies Josefina and Carlitos.

She is survived by three of her six children: Rodolfo Ceceña (Rury), Gabriel Ceseña (Gaby), and Martha Estela Pedroza; grandchildren: Jose Carlos, Estela, Yvonne, Cristina, Susy, Julio Cesar, Claudia, Edith, Karla, Michelle, Giselle, and Vanessa; great grandchildren: Julio Cesar, Itzel, Sergio, Natalia, Daniel David, Anaid, Sofia, Christian, Nicolas, Emma, Alexandra, Mathew, Leah, Michael, Gabriel and Santiago.

After raising her family, she worked at a Linen Supply for many years. She was known for her sweet nature and was loved by all who knew her. She always expressed appreciation for those around her and she never forgot to call and sing "Happy Birthday" every year to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid and accomplished gin rummy and bingo player. She was known for her love of music, pets, hummingbirds, and for her garden. She loved flowers, especially roses, lilacs, and bougainvillea's.

The family is very grateful with the staff from Reo Vista Healthcare Center staff for providing all the care and support with love, concern, and respect. Nana was blessed with a kind roommate, Cyndi James, who protected and watched over her since the first day she was admitted. She had a wonderful nurse and member of the Art of Hospice, Mr. Edward Angeles, who took care of “Mama” and guided the family step by step through the process in a loving manner.

Nana will be greatly missed by all her family members, friends, and all those she touched with her beautiful smile.
