

Norma Gallardo Ragadio, born November 8, 1934, San Marcelino, Zambales, Philippines. She was married to Gaudencio Ragadio, who died on May 16, 1994. She is survived by her sister, Lucita Gallardo Dimalutang; her five children: Daisy “Nanay” Ragadio Gabris, Elma Ragadio Amos, Ferlin “Bogs” Gallardo Ragadio, Lyn Gallardo Ragadio, and Eden Ragadio Fontila; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma was a retired elementary school teacher in Linusungan, San Marcelino, Zamabales, Philippines for 34 years. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1988, where she lived in Oakland with her husband. In 1993, they moved to Chula Vista, worked as cashier at the San Diego Commissary till she retired, and lived with her daughter Elma and her family. She died peacefully on August 5, 2020 at her daughter Elma’s house in Chula Vista surrounded by her five children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Norma was known as being generous and loving. She LOVED to cook the best Ilocano food, especially dinuguan. She was friendly to anyone she met. She liked going to the casino with her children, even though she would lose all the time. What she loved the most was when all of her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren were all together. We will miss you Mommy Norma. You are irreplaceable and you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for loving and taking care of us every day. WE LOVE YOU.
