With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Perla Ritter, who peacefully returned to our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 27, 1967, to Pedro and Elizabeth Arce, Perla lived a life rooted in faith, love, compassion, and devotion to her family and community.
Perla was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, pastor, and friend. She shared 33 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jerry Ritter, whom she married on February 27, 1993. Together they built a loving family with their children, Anthony Ritter, Jonathan Ritter, and Ashley Navarrete, and cherished every moment with their beloved grandson, Aizen Navarrete. To her children, she was always the “Mama Bear” — strong, protective, nurturing, and endlessly loving.
As the tenth of twelve children, Perla learned the importance of family values from an early age. She shared a close and special bond with all of her siblings and was known as a loving and dependable sister whose kindness touched everyone around her.
Perla also found great fulfillment in her career as a child care provider, where she lovingly guided children through some of the earliest and most important milestones of their lives. Her patience, gentleness, and caring spirit left a lasting impact on countless families.
Deeply rooted in her faith, Perla faithfully served her community as an Associate Pastor at Call of Zion Church. She led the couples ministry along side her husband and dedicated herself to serving God’s people. Perla was also known as a powerful prayer warrior whose faith, prayers, and encouragement brought comfort, strength, and hope to so many. Through her loving kindness and unwavering devotion to God, she touched countless lives.
Perla will be remembered for her unwavering faith, warmth, humor, generosity, and the love she poured into everyone she met. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and taught her family the value of compassion, hard work, and unconditional love. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
