Refugio "Ray" Salazar a long time resident of Imperial Beach passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 25, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marie Elena Salazar, sons Ernie & Richard Salazar, daughters Teresa Odanga and Marie Fregoso, 11 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren.
Ray was born in San Diego on January 28, 1928 to Refugio & Maria Salazar. Ray join the United States Army at an early age and served from 1947 to 1950. Ray made his career as a commercial painter for over 34 years. Ray will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
