On Wednesday, December 24, 2014 God called the soul of Rosalia Mojica Butler to her heavenly home. Rosalia was born in Cauayan, Isabela Philippines on January 10, 1953 to the late Hilario and Maria Mojica. Sister to: Rebecca, Marcelo, Juliana, Angelina, Aurelia and Rosita.
Rosalia had a heart of gold. She was humble, generous, wise and a very good friend indeed. She was someone who understood when no one else did. Naturally made you feel like you belonged. Rosalia would give you her last, with no expectations for return. Her words of wisdom “Just leave it alone!” She was a peaceful and forgiving woman. No matter what she would be doing, she’d stop everything just so she could cook you a hot meal. Not just anything but some good ole’ Philippine cuisine. Her passion for cooking was evident.
The love for her soul mate Bobby Butler Sr., was seen beyond the oceans end. Their love shined through trials and tribulations. The storms made their love grow stronger each and every time. The best of friends they were. They did everything together. They were each other’s right hand and there was no way they would let anyone or anything get in between them. Over forty years of marriage and it was only death that breaks them apart. In the physical that is. She will forever be in Bobby’s heart.
She battled cancer for over a year and a half. Rosalia fought it continuously until she would get exhausted. Best believe there were good days and bad days. But, she kept going. A true inspiration to all of us and still is. She did not let the cancer bring her spirit down. God blessed her with amazing strength. We will miss her.
Rosalia leaves to cherish her memories and continue her legacy of: Rodolfo, Jeannette, Bobby Jr., (5) grandchildren: Rugie, Drevon, Anisa, Shamar, Leemani, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
