Rosario S. Serrano

She was born in Nuevo Ecija, Philippines and grew up in Manila, Philippines. Her parents are Pedro Silvino and Juana De La Cruz. Her sisters are Gloria, Antonia, Corazon and Marilou. Brothers are Ricardo, Emilio, Restituto and Jaime. She and her loving husband went to the same schools in elementary, high school and college in Manila Philippines. Before she decided to go to the Untied States she was two years away from becoming a doctor. She spent 1 1/2 years in Milwaukee University in Wisconsin and that same year she was certified by ASCP. After her marriage to Alfredo (loving Husband) she and her husband settled in Troy, Michigan in 1970 were she worked for 41 years as a medical technologist at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital before they decided to move to California to be with her five loving grandchildren Sydney and Brodie from her son (Augustine and his wife Nancy) and Hunter, Gabriella and Nolan from her daughter (Bernadette and her husband Peter). Rosario passed away peacefully with her family and her four sisters from Michigan at her side. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 1945 Illion St. San Diego, CA 92110 on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 am
