

A loving and caring husband and father, Servillano “Silving” Regacho’s love of life did not come to an end with his death. Silving passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 87, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Silving is a graduate of Bachelor in Agricultural Science at Central Luzon Agricultural College, Munoz, Nueva Ecija (the college was elevated into Central Luzon State University, CLSU, in 1964) as a self-supporting student. He was first employed at the Department of Agriculture in 1962. Due to his exemplary performance, he was sent to Taiwan and then to Los Banos to learn more on advance farming and irrigation system. He was a key-player in implementing the methodology of hybrid rice in Philippines. In 1972, he transferred to the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). At DAR, he was assigned as team leader and got promoted as Regional Staff Director to the Farmer Affairs and National Coordinator of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (ARBA). After retirement, Silving, a devout Catholic, spent much of his time at Saint Bartholomew Church in his hometown, San Manuel, Pangasinan. He became the Grand Knight at Knights of Columbus for two years. Silving was a multi-awarded Agricultural Officer and loves farming. A former member of the Board of Directors of Urdaneta Memorial Park, Inc. Elected President of the Senior Citizen at the town of San Manuel, Pangasinan until he migrated to San Diego.
Silving had good foresight and was ready with solutions to problems. God is the center of his life, daily attended online masses and prayed the rosary. He had a pleasant personality, was a good adviser, and was an extemporaneous speaker. Silving advocated humility and taught his children by walking the talk. In difficult situations, he remained calm and resilient. Whistling while driving unaffected by the loud horn of cars behind him. Silving is survived by his wife, Jenny Lind; daughters Mary Jessil and Jonie and son; Louie.
