Sherwin Manabat Espero

Sherwin was born in Nueva Ecija, Philippines on September 3, 1977. Sherwin graduated from Channel Islands Highschool in Oxnard and studied Computer Engineering at San Diego State University. He married his best friend, Sheryl Bonit, in 2006. He was a systems analyst at San Diego State University for over 15 years. Some of his hobbies included cycling, flying stunt kites, cooking, photography, gardening, and building model airplanes. Sherwin volunteered his time and talent by photographing events for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Outreach Through Dance. Sherwin believed that laughter and love were the best medicine. His strength touched the hearts of many lives he never even met.

Sherwin is survived by his wife, Sheryl, his fur baby, Zoey, his mother, Leticia, his sister, Marylet (Romeo) and many extended family members.

A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. His spiritual life will be celebrated Monday, January 26, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 410 W. 18th Street, National City, CA 91950.
