Yoneko Saotome Summers passed away gently on October 26, 2012 after a full 77 years of joy and love. Born in Yokohama Japan. She was 17 when she met her beloved, Harold E. Summers. They married young and she left Japan soon after to travel the world with Harold while he was in the navy. They settled in San Diego. She is survived by two children Edward and Danny and their families, including 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Yoneko loved being surrounded by family; she was very talented and enjoyed gardening, making ceramics and knitting. Yoneko was preceded in death by Harold on March 8, 2012, and is surely overjoyed to be reunited with her beloved. Please join us in celebrating her life on November 7, 2012 at Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Drive San Diego CA 92122 for the grave site memorial at 1 pm.
