Bobby Charles Smith (88) of Orangevale, California passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born to the late O.K. and Wilma Ethel (Stachey) Smith, on March 19, 1935, in Aly, Arkansas. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from June 1952 - June 1959 on the USS Leonard F. Mason destroyer ship and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired from the City of Lawndale, California in 1992 where he worked as a Senior Housing Rehab Specialist. Before relocating to Orangevale. California in 2013 he lived in Southern California near the Redondo Beach Pier. He loved visiting the pier, having coffee with friends, and feeding the pigeons. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Anne (Smith) and David Anderson of Orangevale, California and a son Robert Allen Smith of Wauchula, Florida. He was a loving grandfather to Gregory Allen Weiford of Oakland, Arkansas and Timothy James Kaltsas of Folsom, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Arnold Paul Smith, and sisters Cathryn Smith, Betty Ruth Whiting, Jeannette Podraza and granddaughter, Summer Leigh Lease. He will be laid to rest at The Sacramento County National Cemetery, Dixon, Solano County, California.
