Chattie Ann Wesson was born on October 16, 1923 in Walnut Cove, North Carolina to John Julius and Georgia Alice (Neal) Rominger. She passed away on October 20, 2014 in Citrus Heights, California. She was eighty-eight years old at the time of her death, which was caused by cardiac arrest.
On October 20, 2015Chattie was preceded in death by her husband of thirty nine years, David E. Wesson. Also preceding her were her parents, brothers, John Wesley "Wes" Rominger, William Rufus "Jimbo" Rominger, George J. Rominger, James Manring and Mollie Darling Manring. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Alice "Dot" Griffin.
At the age of 27, Chattie Rominger traveled with friends from North Carolina to Sacramento, California, where they found work. She met David Wesson and within a year she was married. With David, she was parent to Debra, Linda, Michael and Mark Wesson, all of whom survive. Also surviving are grandchildren Chris, David, and Rochelle, in addition to great-grandchildren Molly, Danielle, and Ariyanna.
Chattie was founding member of Twin Oaks Baptisit Church of Citrus Heights where she was proud of being a Sunday School teacher in the children's department. One of her favorite things to do were crossword puzzles which she often completed on the telephone in teamwork with her friend Ingrid. Chatttie was especially known to make the most delicious apple pies.
