Douglas Lee Sherman was born in Fresno, California, and spent his early years in Fresno and North Fork, California. He attended Sierra High School in Tollhouse, California, and graduated from Placer High School in Auburn, California. He earned an AA Degree in journalism from Sierra College in Rocklin, California.
He is survived by his, mother, Leona Sherman of Loomis, California; brother, Stephen Sherman (Pam) of Granite Bay, California; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Doug was predeceased in death by his father, William S. Sherman and his brother, William A. Sherman.
A memorial service is being planned in North Fork, California, time and date pending.
