Edward R Nugent

.Edward Renwick Nugent passed away peacefully in his home September 11, 2016 after an extended illness. He is survived by his sons Timothy and his wife Tami of Arcata, Ca; Kenneth Scott and his wife Cindy of Fair Oaks, Ca; a sister, Roberta Newcomb of Hudson, NH; 11 Grandchildren: Kelly White, Joanna Nugent, Mia Nugent-Mabry, Andrew Nugent, Isabel Nugent, Lucas Nugent, Daniel Nugent, Samuel Nugent, NIcholas Nugent, Rebecca Nugent and Hannah Nugent; 9 Great-grandchildren: Caitlin Biagioni, Michaela Biagioni, Gabriel Nugent, Taylor Mabry, Erica Mabry, Emma Bahula-Nugent, Damien Nugent, Silas Fabila, and Arlo Fabila; and nieces and nephews: Michelle Funderburk, Brian Dudas-Hardin, Debra Wilburn, James Newcomb, Sandra Newcomb Jones, and Patricia Newcomb Pratte. He will be missed by many friends both near and far. He was predeceased by his wife Clara, his parents Renwick and Gladys Nugent, his sister Karen Nugent Hardin, and his nephew Dwayne Dudas. Ed was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and the University of Vermont where he received a degree in electrical engineering. After 23 years in the air force, Ed retired to Orangevale, Ca to finish raising his boys, care for his wife, and enjoy bowling. A full military service with honors will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA on Friday 11/4 at 3pm. There will be a Celebration of Life with reception at the First Baptist Church of Orangevale, 8998 Central Ave, Orangevale, CA on Saturday 11/5 at 11am.
