Melinda Schilinski

Melinda was born to George Edwin and Mildred Elizabeth Cresswell in Washington County, Missouri on November 15, 1935. She passed away peacefully on February 7, 2012. She is survived by her sons William (and Jeanne) Nelle of Porterville, George (and Debbie) Nelle of Mount Shasta, and James Schilinski of Citrus Heights, her brother Jim (and Bernice) Cresswell of Missouri, sisters Nancy (and Jess) Thompson of Missouri and Lucille Springer of Alaska, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 41 years, Benjamin Schilinski, Jr. She grew up in Aptus, MO on the family farm and after high school moved to Alaska where she began her career as a Civil Servant with the Federal Government. She retired after 40 years employment, with 35 years at McClellan AFB, California. She loved travelling with her husband, reading, cooking, shopping and being outdoors. Memorial Services to be held at 10:30am on Friday, February 17th at Reichert's Funeral Service, 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610.
