Walter Campbell III

With great sadness we announce the passing of Walter B. Campbell III, 66, on June 7, 2015 in Roseville after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Shelley Campbell of Granite Bay; son Joseph Campbell and family of Sacramento; daughter Elizabeth Sira and family of Lincoln; and brother Dave Campbell and his family of Loomis. Walt had eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, mother, brother Bill, and infant grandson Hunter. Walt met his wife Shelley while attending Southwest Missouri State where he was active in ROTC. Upon graduation Walt proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He went on to enjoy his many passions in life, including computers, motorcycles, and most importantly music. Walt loved playing music, and after founding Campbell Sound repaired instruments and built amplifiers and was proud to have repaired an amplifier for Johnny Winter. Walt was always entertaining with his many stories and will be missed every day by his loving family and many friends. The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 4:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, Folsom, CA followed by military honors.
