He survived by his wife, Maryann; two children: Veronica Ornelas and Raymond Arceo, six grandchildren: Jimmy Ornelas, Angelo Ornelas, Renee Jackson, Gabriel Arceo, Celia Cebellos, Adrian Arceo, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson and many other family and other loved ones.
Chuck was the first born child to Lupe Arceo in Merced, Ca. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in San Francisco.
Chuck found the love of his life when he was 18 years old and he worked tirelessly to build a successful business to provide for his wife and kids. Chuck was a devoted and loving husband to Maryann Arceo for 63 years. Chuck was the proud owner of 55 years the Roman Marble Shop in Redwood City that he was honored to leave to his grandsons. The Roman Marble Shop was something that he was extremely proud of building so that he could leave behind to his family and for generations to follow. He was a master craftsman of natural stone, well-known in the stone industry, and was a mentor to many. He would gladly share his knowledge of the stone business to anyone. He would always tell people, “Just do a good job”.
Chuck loved to barbecue, travel, carve, and spend time with his family. Family was his greatest pride and he was the rock of his family, always providing guidance, love, and encouragement to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to talk about all their accomplishments and was always proud of them.
He will be greatly missed by many…
“It’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you soon!”
