Esther Becker

A Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in San Bruno at the age of 96.

Esther was born July 2nd 1924 in San Francisco, California. She spent her early childhood in Alesund, Norway with her brother Carsten but most of her life was spent in San Francisco. She graduated from Mission High School in 1942 and joined the workforce.

Esther was a loving mother to her two children Linda Bravo with husband Jose and Ron Frazier with wife Susan. She was a proud Grandmother to Joe and wife Carrie, Sonja and husband Cris and also Bill Carmichael. She was a beloved Great-Grandmother to Isabella, Giuseppe, Sophia and Ethan. She touched the lives of many families and friends.

Esther loved everything about spending time with family. She enjoyed the family tradition of baking especially using her Norwegian recipes. She also was an avid bowler in her younger years among other hobbies. She always made sure to have a front row seat at the grandchildren's sports, dance recitals and school performances ready with her camera to snap the best photos only she could get!

Esther took amazing pictures of all family events and was the first one to show off her prints or get them into an album. She took great pride in being a member of the Sons of Norway and looked forward to going to both the Norway Day Festival and the Norwegian Seamen's Church Bazaar every year.

Esther enjoyed dining at many local restaurants. She loved her hot coffee and sweet treats from Starbucks which fueled her many shopping outings at the mall. Esther was always active and never slowed down even when she used her walker.
