Larry - A dedicated tennis player/organizer, a passionate Karaoke singer, a very proud grandpa, loved his MJ and card games, and alway fun to have in a party.  You will be in our memories forever.

After playing together for 12 years every Friday morning, we finally took a picture together in 2022

In the Cupertino Sports Center, Larry Chen is an icon. He dedicates a ton of his time and energy leading and organizing his men tennis group. Larry is hilariously funny. He loves to hang out with his guys for happy-hour after practice. Simply put, he added pure joy and laughter to our lives for over 20 years. The memory and cheers for Larry will continue to surface for the months and years to come.

Myself, my wife Linda, and a group of mutual friends knew Larry since the eighties. We, including his brother Chris, played tennis in the Fremont Tennis Center. We loved karaoke. I remember none out sings Larry because he knows every Chinese and English song and sang in typical expressive Larry style. In seasonal outings, Larry was always dapper. Suit, shirt and tie always well matched and ironed, hair Brylcreem shiny. In 2013, we remodeled our home. Our electrical system was designed by architect Larry.

Fast forward to Spring of this year, I invited Larry to karaoke in my home. He declined for fear of virus. In September, I joined a lunch get together with Larry and friends. He was obviously very weak. Then the news of him came to me that he passed on December 8th.

Larry, I will always remember and cherish you as a dear friend. May you, and dearest brother Chris, rest in peace.
