Rachel, born in San Francisco, is a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother, and simply stated, adored by everyone in her presence.
She was greeted in Heaven by her mother and step-father, Ernestine and Richard Bruner, her grandparents, Adela Andaya and Sotero and Priscilla Mingao. She is survived by her husband, Louie, her amazing children, Ninah-Marie (28), Alinah Priscilla (22) and Luis Richard (19). She also leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Leesa & Marion Dreo, her father and stepmom, Cesar & Loida Mingao, her brothers, Gabriel, Timothy, his wife Jabrael, and their children. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, countless cousins, godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many many close friends. Rachel’s extended family knows no bounds because that is who she was, she always made you feel like family.
A renaissance woman, in every sense of the word, her creativity and her selflessness were felt by everyone she ever met. Rachel was your friend, your mom, your sister, your chef, your hairdresser, your party planner, your florist, your therapist, your uber driver, your cheerleader, just to name a few.
An extremely successful Escrow Officer and Branch Manager for Chicago Title in San Carlos, Rachel was trusted and loved by all her clients. From sellers, buyers, agents, sales reps, and realtors alike, she treated everyone with dignity, respect, and kindness.
Rachel’s career as “dance mom” started when Alinah and Luis were young. She was very involved in the local Dance/Hip Hop Community and this is where she met and grew her extended family even more. Acting as a role model and support to all of the dancers, instructors, choreographers, directors and just about everyone she came in contact with. While her involvement stepped back in the last few years, she never stopped rooting for everyone’s success.
A bay area sports fan her entire life, she rooted for the Giants, the 49ers and was a proud season ticket holder for the Warriors. Her weekends were filled with games, hanging out with family and friends, creating beautiful flower arrangements, or just laying around watching TV and cuddling with the best puppy in the world, Buddy.
Those dimples, her smile, her warmth, her generosity, and her genuine loving soul can’t be explained in words. We are all blessed to know her and be graced by her presence for such a short time on this earth. It is time to truly let her spirit fly and her light shine. She will be missed forever. Rest in Paradise our sweet Raerae.
