Donna (Verlin Laverne) Ginkinger, 73 of Westbrook, Texas, Entered Heavens gates on Thursday, July 22, 2021 surrounded by her family. Donna was born in Loraine, Texas on November 9, 1947 to Floyd and Pansy Lavada Moore Hale. She loved to be surrounded by her big family, but there was not better time to be together than Christmas and at the Moore Family Reunion. You could always find her at the “round table” visiting and making sure everything was going just right. You always knew going into Donna’s house that there would be a pot of coffee going (Some say she never learned how to make it right) or a Dr. Pepper ready to share. She loved to craft and quickly became the go to in the family for anything that need sewing. She could make anything from shirts, baby clothes, blankets, quilts (which many family members have as she made them for the family reunion), and crocheting. If anyone needed a cheerleading suit made near her Donna was the one to do it. You never knew when you walked into her house if there would be a missing wall where one stood just yesterday, a new wall or what color they would be. She was a master of DYI. She loved to travel and especially on the girls trips. You can guarantee when traveling with her that on the way home you were stopping for ice cream somewhere. She also loved having a good margarita and relaxing. Donna never missed one of her 3 boy’s games or activities they were doing a rarely missed one of the grandkids or great grandkids. Donna was a huge supporter of the Westbrook Wildcats and served on the Booster club for many years, you couldn’t miss her at a game either passing the 50/50 raffle bucket or working a concession stand. You always knew she had chewing gum with her but it didn’t matter if you were 5 or 50 you were only getting a half a piece. She was larger than life and loved that way also, you knew what she was thinking (because she told you) but you will never find a kinder more loving person than Donna. Donna worked many years at Kristi- Lee Manor and then went on to work at Energen Resources until she retired. After that she served as the secretary at the First Methodist Church in Colorado City, Texas. Donna is Survived by David “Gink” Ginkinger, Three sons Donald and wife Julie, Neal and wife Cherri, and Gary and wife Laura. Grandchildren April Ramirez (Angel Ramirez), Craig Ginkinger, Megan Ginkinger (John Escobar), Brett Ginkinger, Justin Ginkinger, Cody Ginkinger ( Kimbra Ginkinger), Ryland Ginkinger, Haley Morgan (Henry Morgan), Devin Parker, Kaitlynn Hargrove (Tyler Hargrove), Sarah Ginkinger and Tyler Ginkinger. Great Grandchildren Reece Ramirez, Greenlee Ramirez, Kayden Florez, Hezekiah Florez, Zadrian Ginkinger, Aiden Morgan, Trinity Morgan, Cathan Morgan, Liam Morgan, Weston Morgan, and Colter Morgan. Brothers Eddie Hale and Ray (Cindy) Hale. Sisters Diane Petty, Pansy (Paul) Fernandez and Judy Hale. And many Nieces and Nephews. She also leaves behind her greatest companion and fur baby Emmy. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Pansy Lavada Hale, Brothers Wendell Hale and Donnie Hale, and Grandson Jason Lee Ginkinger. Donations may be made in the memory of Donna at the American Cancer Society. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 6-8pm at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Donna was a very sweet friend of mine. We had so much fun going to Branson together. She loved the shows and I enjoyed every minute of the time we had together. I always enjoyed her visits. We laughed a lot together and cried a lot together . I am thankful I knew her and always remember the fun times. Until we meet again sweet friend ❤️

Oh gram.. I can’t even put into words how much I miss you and just don’t know how to go on without you.. My gram was the sweetest woman ever but also would tell you exactly what was on her mind whether you liked it or not and I can say I got that from her lol.. along with a bunch of other things. She was not only the best gram to me but also to my kids and all of her other grandkids she loved them and spoiled them all the same and always put them first. I don’t know exactly how I’ll get through this but I know one thing is for sure, I will see her again and this is only temporary, love you so much gram ❤️

Verlin was a sweet friend. We were born just four days apart at Loraine. Time passes so quickly but memories last forever. All the pictures the family posted are such a tribute to this special gal. Much love and many prayers to all of you, her family!

My prayers go out to the family.
I remember when we all played baseball together, Donna was at every game. One of the sweetest people I ever knew. God is getting his Angel back, but she will always be in our hearts.

My mom was the sweetest mom anyone could ever have , my mom and I went through so much before I was five that nobody would understand, but my mother was such a fighter that she never quit doing what was best for not only me and Neal , she always put me Neal and Gary first. Her Grandkids was her life as well as hobbies. She will be missed dearly every second of every day.
