Colorado City – Mr. Ernest Castillo, age 66, of Colorado City, died Tuesday morning at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday at Oak St Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Randle officiating, with cremation to follow.
Ernest was born June 10, 1946 in Bastrop, TX to Enrique and Adela Galvan Castillo and had been a lifelong resident of Colorado City He was a pumper in the oilfield and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Krisha and husband Tom Heiskell of Choctaw, OK and a son, Matt and wife, Keagan Castillo of Colorado City; 3 sisters: Connie Garcia of Devine, TX, Esperonza Davila of Odessa and Sendia Pineda of Kansas; 2 brothers: Henry Castillo of Colorado City and Tony Castillo of Big Spring; and 7 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Luz Gomez, Delfina Castillo and Hermina Selvera; and 1 brother, Tom Castillo.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
