Frank Torrez

.Colorado City – Mr. Frank Torrez, age 76, of Colorado City, died Tuesday morning, November 9, 2010, in an Abilene hospital. Funeral mass will be at 2 PM Friday, November 12, 2010, in the St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Robert Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Torrez was born October 20, 1934 in Sweetwater to Reyes and Rosa Meneses Torrez and had been a resident of Colorado City for the past 54 years. He married Petra Ornelas on September 8, 1956 in Colorado City. He was a construction worker for a road and bridge contractor and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. He was a loving, hard working husband and father who was loved dearly and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Petra Torrez of Colorado City, 2 daughters: Edna Rivera of Odessa, TX and Elma Torrez of Arlington, TX; 4 sons: Ray Torrez of Fort Worth, Danny and wife, Dalila Torrez of Colorado City, Frank Jr and wife, Leah Torrez of Arlington, TX and Joel and wife Sandra, Torrez of San Antonio; 2 sisters: Connie Gomez of Sweetwater and Isabel Argumaniz of Grand Prairie, 2 brothers: Ben Torrez and Esteban Torrez, both of Sweetwater; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Rosary will be said a 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
