Ga Nell Lemonds

She was born in Loraine, Texas on April 13, 1941 to Leland and Jennie Dulin Craighead.

Ga Nell was a loving wife and mother who was all about her family. Ga Nell married the love of her life Frank Lemonds on July 15, 1957 and shortly thereafter in 1958 gave birth to their daughter Teresa. Together they built a house filled with love and fun, but in a frugal manner as she was very good with managing money. Ga Nell enjoyed sewing and talking to people while she was out and about. There wasn’t a day that went by where you would not see her smiling. She was also known for being an independent woman driving where she needed to go and taking care of business right up until her passing. She spent her life as a stay at home mother, but in her elder years she took care of her mother until her passing, showing the endless love of a daughter for her mother.

Ga Nell is survived by her daughter Teresa Lemonds of Colorado City, by a sister-in-law Kay Craighead of Colorado City, and by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Virginia Craighead, by her husband Frank Lemonds, a granddaughter Jamie Leigh Ann Lemonds, by her brothers Duane Craighead and Waylon Craighead, and by her sisters Laverne Sprow and Ouida Elder.

The family will be present for a visitation on Thursday, April 23rd from 5-7 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel

A celebration of Ga Nell’s life will be held on Friday, April 24th at 2pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Lewis officiating, burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery.
