

She was born on April 25, 1940 to Desidoro and Leonor Trevino DeLapaz in Runge, Texas. After she was married on August 20, 1960 in Beeville, Texas to Noe Pena Herminia found her calling in life, and that was the calling of being a mother. Together Herminia and Noe raised nine children. Aside from raising her children and helping out with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil Herminia enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and going out dancing.
Herminia is survived by her husband Noe, six daughters, Margarita Espinoza and husband Martin, Modesta Garza and husband Frank, Martina Luna and husband Erasmo, Melva Garza and husband Robert, Adelita Villegas and husband Valentin, and Bacilia Leverett and husband Darvin; three sons, Juan Pena and wife Mary, Noe Pena Jr. and wife Rosita, and Eugene Pena and wife Shirley. She is also survived by many many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers and well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Herminia will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm with a rosary to be held at 7 at the Kiker-Seale Chapel. A funeral service for Herminia will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11 am at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Felix Silva officiating. Burial will follow at the Mitchell County Cemetery of Colorado City.
