Loraine – Mr. Jerry Rankin, age 65, of Loraine, died Sunday morning at his residence. Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in the Kiker-Seale Chapel with Mr. Larry Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in the Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Rankin was born February 4, 1945 in Roscoe to Roy and Bobbie Carlile Rankin. He married Betty Yruegaz on July 13, 1972 in Colorado City. He was retired from Lone Wolf Coop as an engineer after working 11 years. He was a member of the Lightfoot Church of Christ and a veteran of the US Navy during Viet Nam.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Rankin of Loraine; a son Mark and wife, Melanie Rankin of Davenport, IA and a daughter, Nikki Rankin of Loraine, grandchildren; Matthew Rankin , Marcel Rankin and Madison Rankin, all of Davenport, IA; his mother-in-law, Josie Yruegaz; his sister-in-law Mary Lou Costabile and her family Ryan, Crystal and Amanda and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
