

John was born on February 4, 1950, to the late John Raymond De Loera, Sr. and Juanita(Munoz) De Loera in Colorado City. He was raised in Loraine surrounded by his large family. He graduated from Loraine High School in the class of 1969. He married the love of his life, Aurora Garza Martinez on June 23, 1982. Together they made their home in Colorado City and raised their two children. He retired from TU Electric after 36 years of dedicated service as a Certified Welder and maintence worker. He raised sheep and goats all his life. He enjoyed being outside working on his farm and caring for his animals.
He was a very faithful man and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He had an active personal prayer life. As he delt with illness he never complained. He worked hard and was loyal to those he loved. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He will be remembered as, "A Good Man".
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Aurora De Loera; his sister Emilia "Emily" Terry; and nephew, Brian Terry.
He is survived by his children, Amy Angel of San Angelo and John Raymond De Loera, III of Westbrook; grandson, Royce Angel and his wife Diamond and their daughter, Bonnie Angel; his sisters, Alicia and Anastacio Alvarez of Snyder, Otilia Rios, Elida and Rudy Garza of Hewitt, Hortencia and Ruben Orona of New Braunfels and Eloisa and Bill Pavey of Grand Prairie; brothers, Gustavo and Adrian De Loera of Middleburg, Florida, Ruben De Loera of Jacksonville, Florida, and Arturo and Norma De Loera of Arlington; numerous cousins other relatives and friends.
