June McMillan

June Black McMillan, 78, of Colorado City, passed away at her home on April 24, 2011. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. , Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Spade Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Shields will be officiating.

June was born February 5, 1933 in Alice, TX to parents Bennie and Jesse Jane Black. She married Weldon McMillan December 13, 1997 in Colorado City, TX. June taught speech therapy in many school systems. June played and taught the piano, she play for the Lion’s club and Quanas Club. She played piano for many churchs, she was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Colorado City.

Survivors are: Husband : Weldon McMillan, Children: Leslie Ellis of New Braunsfeld, Gillis Ellis Jr. of Colorado City, Dana Armes and husband Rick of Houston. Step-Children: Robert McMillan of Abilene, Kelvin McMillan of Maretta, Oklahoma, Karlton McMillan of Colorado City, Kerry Clay of Weatherford, Karalie Fort of Ira, Kristi Carroll of Sanderson, Kreg McMillan of Elbert.Foster Child: A.J. Gernett of Ira .16 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren
