She was born in Beeville, Texas on July 4, 1961 to Noe and Hermenia DeLapaz Pena.
Margarita was a kind and loving woman and a good mother. She will be missed by all that knew her. Her good spirited attitude and funny jokes made everybody love her, and when she was around it was well known because she was the loudest one in the crowd. She loved to have parties with the family and any family function she could get to. She also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play and listening to music.
Margarita is survived by: her husband Martin, a son John Gonzalez, her daughters Angelica Gonzalez, Hermenia Gonzalez, and Maryann Riez. Also surviving is her father Noe, her brothers and sisters and 16 grandchildren.
There will be no formal services.
