He was preceded in death by his Mother Robbie Sickles in 1988 and Sister Laverne Hartsfield in 2013.
He is survived by nephews Harlan and Daniel and cousins Willie Doss and Alan Miles.
Walter was a lifetime resident of Colorado City where he was born and raised. He spent most of his career as a trucker delivering a variety of goods. In his younger years, he was a bronc rider with the PRCA.
A graveside memorial was held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 1pm at the Colorado City Cemetery where he was laid to rest.
