

Colorado City – Mr. Santiago Luera, age 91, of Colorado City, passed away peacefully, Monday night at his residence surrounded by his family. Services will be at 10 AM Thursday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Luera was born December 31, 1919 to Lupe and Rita Campos Luera and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1939. He married Margarita Hernandez on August 5, 1940 in Colorado City. She preceded him in death on May 6, 1997.He was an retired operator for TXU Morgan Creek Plant and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include 5 daughters: Minnie and husband, Macario Gomez, Anita and husband Larry Martinez and Amelia Espinoza, all of Colorado City, Dorothy Vanegas of Hamilton and Dolores and husband Robert Contreras of San Angelo; 2 sons: Lupe Luera of Colorado City and David Luera of Odessa3 siblings: Cruz Lozano and Louise Davila, both of Colorado City and Francis Miller of Odessa; 31 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons and 5 siblings.
Rosary will be held at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
