Mr. Simon J. Abrigo, age 68, of Loraine passed away on November 24, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Saint Joseph’s Mission in Loraine with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Loraine Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Simon was born on October 28, 1946 in Pawnee, TX to Joe and Narsisa Abrigo. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years. He married Mary Jaine Vasquez on September 27, 1969 at Saint Joseph’s Mission in Loraine. Simon and Mary Jaine spent their years together in Loraine. They were blessed with one daughter, Yolanda.
Those left to cherish Simon’s memory are his loving wife, Mary Jaine Abrigo; daughter, Yolanda Ginez; four grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Orozco, Herminia Garcia, and Maria Orozco; brothers, Asencion Abrigo Sr., Joe Abrigo Jr., and Felix Abrigo.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4-8PM with a rosary beginning at 6PM at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
