He was born on May 3, 1977 in Odessa, Texas to Matt Goldston and Georgann Tester.
Sterling was a family man at heart. He worked hard over the years to provide a good loving home for his three daughters, always going the extra step to make sure that they had everything they needed in life. Over the years he taught his daughters many life lessons, especially that of hard work and dedication as he worked for Border Patrol for 23 years. Sterling had a very eclectic taste for both music and food, not backing down to try something new. In his spare time he enjoyed learning, whether it would be from a book or from watching documentaries, he also liked to cook, watching shows, and going to concerts.
He is survived by his girlfriend Venessa Galindo of Presidio, by his daughters J’Lynn Dhavion Goldston, Myla Dawn Goldston, and Marley Leeann Goldston and their mother Amie Goldston all of Colorado City. He is also survived by his father Matt Goldston, his mother Georgann Smith and her husband Joe Coronado of Colorado City, his brother Jamie Smith and wife Kelcie of Austin, and by a nephew Brayden Coronado, as well as by many brothers and sisters of the Border Patrol.
He was preceded in death by his sister Miranda Dawn Sevier whom he shared a special sibling bond with.
