

Tom Arles Cotton, age 90, of Hermleigh, died Thursday morning, May 15, 2014, in an Abilene rehab facility. Services will be at 2 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014, in the Kiker-Seale Chapel with Revs. Danny Williams and Mike Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunn Cemetery with military and masonic honors under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Arles was born January 10, 1924 in Scurry County to Damon L. and Annie L. Webb Cotton and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell and Scurry Counties. He married Joy Feaster on May 11, 1944 in Colorado City. She preceded him in death on November 15, 1999. He was a farmer and rancher, a veteran of the US Army during WWII; a member of the Baptist church; a member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge 563; member of the Suez Shrine Temple in San Angelo; as well as the Big Spring Chapter 67 Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Vickie Whitson of Hermleigh and Sareta Fenton of Lubbock; a son Tommy Lee Cotton of Hermleigh; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; as well as his special friend, Frances Godwin of Colorado City.
The family will receive friends 3-5 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
