Colorado City – Mrs. Valerie Redwine, age 60, of Colorado City, died Sunday morning in a local care center. Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2010, in the the Kiker-Seale Chapel. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Redwine was born August 22, 1950 in Pecos to Melvin and Alene Forbes Bearden and had been a longtime resident of Mitchell County. She married Mike Redwine on August 20, 1983 in Colorado City. She was the former business manager of the Mitchell County Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Redwine of Colorado City; 3 daughters: Kelly Smith, Ashley Redwine and Jennifer Redwine, all of Colorado City; 1 brother, David Bearden of OK; 4 sisters: Dorothy Rodriquez and Rhonda Lelek, both of Snyder; Sharon Dill of Brownfield and Susie Wilkinson of Abilene; 5 grandchildren: Kayleigh McKay, Brettny Humphrey, Gauge Redwine, Zen Clanton and Zephyr Clanton and 1 great grandchild, Kamdyn McKay.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Becky Gumm.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
