Willie Ruth "Friday" Moore

Willie Ruth “Friday” Moore, of San Angelo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 9, 2015 in San Angelo, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 10:00am at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City with Pastor Tommy Richardson officiating. Graveside services will be held immediately following at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder, Texas.

Friday was born on January 1, 1927 in the Rodgers Community near Colorado City, Texas and passed away peacefully in San Angelo, Texas on Monday, March 9th after a wonderful life of 88 years. Friday’s parents were Thomas Arnold and Carrie Elizabeth Howell, long time residents of Colorado City. Friday married Thermon Moore on July 17, 1944. They resided in Colorado City until 1999, when they moved to San Angelo.

Friday is survived by her son, Cleve Moore and wife Wilma of San Angelo; three granddaughters, Angie Pidgeon of San Angelo, Amy and Allen Dantzler of Fort Worth, and Sherry and Trey Clemens of Dallas. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; Mary Grace, Julianna, Simon, Chloe, Andrew, Jack, Sam, Ashley, Avery, and Lila Mei, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made in her name to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund of San Angelo, Texas, Baptist Memorial Hospital of San Angelo, Texas, or Meals for the Elderly.
