COLUMBIA - Visitation for Dr. Adrian Monroe Harrell, USAF (Ret.), 82, will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Lt. Col. Harrell died Monday, February 1, 2016. Born in Belzoni, Miss., he was the son of the late Richard and Dora Mae Chapman Harrell. He received a B.S. from Fresno State University, a M.S. from San Diego State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas. Dr. Harrell served for over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star (Valor) for his service in the Vietnam War. He then served for 25 years as a professor at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
