COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Barbara Allen Hardwick, 74, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Windsor United Methodist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Hardwick passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. Born in Newport News, Virginia on September 27, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Patterson and Audrey Clark Patterson.
Barbara was a graduate of Cave Spring High School. She was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield and was co-owner of Columbia Appliance and Service. She was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church, and enjoyed baking and cooking. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, L.B. Hardwick; sons, Rick Hardwick (Cindy) of Tampa, Florida, Randy Hardwick (Kelli) of Columbia and Ashley Hardwick of Tampa; daughter, Sherry Baker (Jeff) of Tampa; brothers, Lloyd Patterson (Pat) of Tallahassee, Florida and Custis Patterson of Roanoke, Virginia; sister, Shelby Williams (John) of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; and ten grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Patterson and sister, Eldena Kelley.
